Crimson's Crap

WELCOME TO MY PAGE!

I have created this page in the hopes of keeping my friends (and foes) up to date on my whereabouts (you have a headstart, watch out). I'm done with using Instagram, just cause I can't control my reels adiction (call me fish the way I be taking that bait alright). I thought this would be an interesting non-billionaire way of sharing what I'll be doing on my trip and also log it for myself. Speaking of billionaires, I'll probably invest in an iPad so I can draw easily during the trip and perhaps pimp my website B). For now it's probably going to be a little barebones though. Just cause O'm new to coding and stuff and don'tt really know how anythign works lol.

GENERAL BLOG

18/04/26, one day before departure to Taiwan

A few days ago I received an e-mail that my flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam was changed and that we'd be leaving a day earlier to our stop over destination Beijing. Meaning we'd spend an additional 20 hours there. In typical procrastinator fashion i decided to slightly freak out about this fact while simultaniously doing nothing. However, tonight my hand was forced and I tried making contact with the ariline. After looking at the e-mail again and clicking one link that lead me to an AI chatbot that strictly sent messages in Manadrin I quickly had to pause my search by doing absolutely nothing for approximately an hour. After getting tired of pondering my life's choices and feeling soulless and tired my parents suggested I call an American service number because they are usually more willing to help you. There is no American number for customer service, but there is a dissability support helpline and my parents suggested I call that. After listening to their looping song for 10 minutes I finally got through to an agent who told me that either way we would have to spend an additional night in Beijing. She said they would cover hotel costs, but they'd be outside of the airport. Now I've spent the last 15 minutes trying to figure out if we're allowed to leave the airport, which luckily we are without a visa (under the 240-Hour Visa-Free Transit Policy). So I suppose we've added another destination to our trip now and I'll hopefully get to eat a scrumptious Chinese dinner in Beijing. I just have to call the customer service back now confirming that I have to correct visa and then it should all be fine... Hopefully.

Based off of google music search the song playing while waiting is an instrumental version of Kenny G's Coming Home. Fitting I suppose, however the cracky quality over the phone is not a very pleasant edition to the song I must say. If you want to recreate my experience here's the Youtube link for the song, find a 10 year old bluetooth speaker you bought off of Wish and enjoy. I must say, the lady I spoke to was very kind #WouldReommendCallingAmericanDisabilityHelpDesk

I would also like to add that for some reason the only custom font that seems to load for some reason is the sasquatch font which just looks very strange, so please excuse that for now.

Actually, a lot of things about my website seem to be broken so... if anyone knows how to fix these things please hit me up. Further, I don't have any spell-check on... So if this looks like it was written by a 13 year old, that's probably because I'm doing my very best to make it look like my writing level isn't at that of a 10 year old, thanks for your patience.......

I also wanted to share here that I fell for a phishing scam, just to warn others. It was actually crazy. I got a Whatsapp message stating that not all my details had been entered yet and if I didn't enter them my booking would be cancelled. They had the hotel I'd booked, the dates I was staying there and my name. I was just a little stressed cause my flight had also just been messed up so I opened the link and put in my details and my mom's card. Legiterally one second after sending it in I had a moment of clarity and was like: wait is ts even real. In fact it was not! So then we had to spend the evening calling customer support and blocking the crad. Luckily, nothing had been taken off the card yet and a new credit card could be ordered. But yeah, scary stuff going on nowadays. I mean maybe I should've known because I'd received an e-mail or two that "suspiscious"actvitity was going on surrounding the booking, but I mean, wtf does that even mean. Right after I'd fallen for the scam I showed my tech-savvy dad (let's pretend I didn't just type out dog) telling him I thought it was a scam and I low-key had to convince him it really was cause it looked so legit. Welp... guys, just cause you're stressed you shouldn't put all your credit details in immeditaly when they say there's something wrong, cause the only people who are usually in that much of a hurry are usually scammers. Hopefully next time it will be a nice Nigerian prince trying to hit me up instead of a lame customer support smh.

Ok, I just had to draw my dad as a tech-savvy dog, enjoy.

(19/20)/04/26 travel days

We took the train from Amsterdam to Brussels at 6:45. It honestly wasn't bad and it beat taking a Flixbus at 3 AM. I slept a large part of the way there:

In line for check-in Photobooth was out on the Ipad which created probably one of the craziest pictures of me ever, I will not be sharing that one here yet, but I'll share emy recreation of Benjamin's photoshopped version of himself.

I'm currently about 5 hours into my first flight. Getting to Brussels for the flight was sort of smooth. The last thing I had to eat in The Netherlands was 2 slices of brown bread with a slice of cheese (nothing else), which is probably one of the most stereotypical things I could've eaten.

Now on the plane I'll describe the arrangement to you. It seems like my parents didn't reserve seats for the flights because we definitely got bottom of the barrel. We are currently positioned like this:

It was pretty funny because on the flight safety video there was one white guy and he was the one always causing troubles (due to his lavish lifestyle). I felt seen in that moment. We've arrived at the airport in Shanghai for our layover and things seem to be going swimmingly. We had some good dim sum (sadly I couldn't get my cheese buns, but the matcha and red bean buns pulled through), and I bought a little dried plumb with honey snack for 1.50. I'm off the grid because the wifi doesn't work here, I haven't tried yet, but all my family members have a multitude of failed attempts. Taipei will connect me again to my avid blog reading base, trust.

This is a drawing I made of my dad while waiting at the Shanghai airport.
